Newsletter 2015-06

Last week was characterised by Valentine’s Day hectics. Rose prices increased rapidly and so did sales. Not only roses but other flowers also were favorites, especially the common priced ones. We’ve been nice and busy!

This week we’d like to pay attention to the following;

-H.I.S. is the name of a new Eustoma nursery, short for “Lisianthus in Style”. From this week on they’ll supply high quality Eustoma year round. They grow 9 double sorts of the “Arena” varieties. At the moment some of these sorts are as heavy to be supplied in 5 stem sleeves. Jaaz Flowers & Plants B.V. is certain to buy these for stock so check the web shop regularly.

-Brassica in February is as usual limited available, for production is low in this month and quality is poor.

-Season’s over for red branched “Leucadendron Sal Blush”. This import product is no longer available, not certain yet when it will be available again but we’ll keep you informed.

-Red roses still remain the most wanted flowers at Valentine’s Day. They’re sold in great numbers and Dutch rose growers aligned their production with this day. Less roses are expected for next week when all crop is cut for harvest and this will also influence prices.

-Production of Israelis “Anemones” and “Ranunculus”is at full speed, we notice large supplies at the moment and this leads to nicely priced spring flowers.

-“Viburnum Roseum”, also known as Snowballs, is a true spring flower. Production is really picking up speed, nearly all growers are supplying now with strong quality and large amounts which makes this fresh green spring flower a popular though nicely priced product, highly recommended in each bouquet!

So far for this week,

The Jaaz Flowers & Plants B.V.  Buying Team would like to thank you for trusting us to buy your Valentine’s Day purchases, wishing you good sales and successful business!

Kind Regards,

Jaaz Flowers & Plants B.V. Buying Team
